Records
The Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is Utah's open records law
and the state equivalent of the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Through
GRAMA, the public may request access to certain physical or electronic records maintained
by the University. The Office of General Counsel provides legal advice to the University
regarding these open record requests and similar record-related matters, such as record
retention. Questions from members of the public about University records should be
directed to the relevant records custodian or to the University’s PR/Communications
team.
